Raiko vs Mugger-san
It was very rare that Raiko had to walk home from school alone, and even rarer that she had to do it so late. The student council meeting had run long, though, and her friend had opted not to wait for her, and by the time they finally dispersed it was already starting to get dark. Thus, there was the mayor's sixteen year old daughter walking across town by herself at dusk.
This was, perhaps, not the safest thing in the world, but she seemed wholly unconcerned. In fact, she looked pretty chipper about the whole situation; she was even humming Stravinsky's Firebird Suite as she walked.
She should have been concerned. There was movement in the shadows, and the faint sound of muffled footsteps. The hulking figure came out of nowhere, rushing her from the alley as she walked past, gloved hands reaching out to grab at her.
"KYAAAAAAA~AAAAAAAAAAA~" came the perfect, practiced cry of a damsel in distress, accompanied by a perfect, practiced uppercut to the mugger's stomach and a roundhouse kick to his head as he doubled over in pain.
She stepped back, hands clasped near her cheek, looking pleased with herself, and addressed the fallen mugger. "What do you think, Mugger-san, that was a perfect scream, wasn't it? I practiced it!"
He groaned in response.
"Sorry, Mugger-san!" She knelt down beside him, striking an encouraging, hot-blooded pose. "Next time I know you'll succeed! Don't give up! If you want to be a mugger, then you need to become the best mugger you can be, so that one day you can even take on the Lovely Heroine Raiko!" She gave his head an encouraging pat, eliciting another groan. "I believe in you, Mugger-san!!"
And with that, she leapt to her feet and rushed off into the night, leaving the poor, confused mugger to his pain.
