Magic Music permissions post

Part of Raiko's powerset involves the ability to manipulate a person's emotions or even puppet them as a living weapon. Thankfully she is not the kind of person to abuse these powers, but forcing feelings on other characters is still kind of god-modey so if you would rather not have to deal with it, let me know.

Magic music:
The standard bard-class buff/debuff skill. You can play a battle anthem to make people stronger in battle, or play something soul-crushingly sad to make them give up and lay down to die. This uses the sentiment of the piece to draw out and amplify similar feelings in the listener. If the listener can't relate to the song's sentiment, it will have no effect on them. It will also have no effect if they are incapable of hearing the music (ie deaf, or wearing earplugs).

Marionette version:
Strengthens a person's emotions to the point where the musician is able to control their actions like a marionette. It increases the target's strength and abilities significantly, making them into a very effective weapon in battle. Some people are more susceptible to it than others; those unaffected by the marionette control simply experience a surge of emotion based on the song, and as in the above, the target must find a strong emotional resonance in the song to be affected by it.

I will always, always ask before trying to whip out a marionette version, since it involves direct control of another person's character.

However I do tend to throw out regular magic music tags without asking first. With these, I describe the song's meaning and sentiment, and let whoever I'm threading with decide if or how that sentiment resonates with their character. It absolutely cannot force a character to act OOCly because it is only capable of drawing out and strengthening feelings a character already has. Example.

If you would rather just not deal with it ever, or want me to always ask before tossing a regular magic music tag at you, please let me know!

If I throw it into a thread and you're not comfortable with it, please tell me and I will change my tag to something else.
